Alarms When You on Danger
Local Professional Smoke and Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detector Services in Naples, FL
Many homes and businesses in Naples still use outdated, battery-powered smoke detectors that lack essential safety features and do not comply with current fire codes. Thinking of upgrading? Naples Electrical can assist. We install hardwired interconnected smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. This means that all alarms will sound if smoke or CO is detected anywhere on the property. This buys critical additional time for safe evacuation. We provide installation, replacement, and wiring corrections to ensure compliance with the Florida Fire Prevention Code and NFPA 72.
Hardwired Smoke Detectors Installation
We install battery backup hardwired smoke detectors. All alarms are interconnected, ensuring that if one is triggered, all will sound. This configuration complies with current Florida code for most new or renovated homes.
Carbon Monoxide Detector Installation
Carbon monoxide is invisible and odorless, so a properly installed detector is essential, particularly in homes with gas appliances, generators, or attached garages. We install CO detectors where they can best warn before levels become dangerous.
Detector Testing, Repair & Replacement
If you have chirping alarms, false alarms, or detectors that are over 10 years old, you need to get them fixed immediately. We test, troubleshoot, and replace any faulty detectors to make sure your system stays reliable when you need it most

Great customer SERVICE. From the moment I called Phill through the completion of his visit with Ray doing the service, we could tell that they were the professional kind of business we want to deal with! Even though our job was just replacing five smoke detectors, not a big profit job, Phill was there every time I called with crazy little questions and didn't hurry me on the phone. I did not want to go with a handyman for this job involving the electrical connection. He was not only the best price I found, but was quick to quote, schedule, and get the job done. They not only communicated via phone call, but also via text and email. They covered their shoes when they entered and they vacuumed the area around the job...even put a bench back in our foyer we got out of the way for them. We can tell they are looking out for us as customers so much that we are allowing them to quote us on a bigger job!Posted on Google![]()

Philip from Naples Electric is by far a great guy if you need electrical work or something diagnosed. I had 4 different electricians and my issue never went away. I contacted Philip from a referral and he spent over 45 minutes on the phone on a Saturday explaining what the issue might be. After hearing him out his honest assessment was enough to convince me that I had the right company. He checked the panel box and found many different issues with different breakers from different companies. He replaced all the ones that needed replacing and made them all unique to the same manufacturer and the issue was resolved. His many follow ups was the show stopper. A company who cares. If you need reliability this is your company and your guy. Thank you Philip 🙏Posted on Google![]()

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
The current fire code in the state of Florida requires most homes to have interconnected smoke detectors that are hardwired, especially for new construction, major remodels, and when there is more than one detector. Detectors that run solely on batteries are more likely to fail due to dead or missing batteries, and they do not communicate with other alarms in the home.
In general, smoke detectors are required in each bedroom, outside each sleeping area, and on each level of the home, including basements. Carbon Monoxide detectors should be placed in common areas, especially in homes with gas appliances, fireplaces, attached garages, or generators. We will determine your exact layout to ensure proper placement.
If smoke or CO is detected anywhere in the home, the interconnected alarms cause all the alarms to sound at the same time. This is especially critical in larger homes or multi-story homes where a fire may not be heard from a bedroom on the other side of the house.
Most smoke and carbon monoxide detectors need to be replaced every 10. It’s always good to check the manufactor date and replace detectors, since they do not always show obvious signs of failure.
The chirping detector is typically a low battery indicator, even in hardwired units with battery backup. It could also signify that the unit has reached the end of its life or there is a wiring issue. We can tell whether it just needs a quick battery change or a whole replacement
Yes, we install and service smoke and carbon monoxide detection systems for offices, retail space, and commercial buildings per Florida Fire Prevention Code and NFPA 72 requirements for commercial occupancies.
